Gary retired as Chief of Police of Weatherby Lake, Missouri on January 1, 2018 after forty four years of service to the City. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice. He is a FBI certified range master and an NRA certified Law Enforcement Handgun Shotgun instructor and holds certifications from the NRA as a pistol and rifle instructor. He has been a law enforcement trainer since 1976 and is certified through the states of Missouri and Kansas to teach approved Concealed Carry classes.

Gary is very family oriented and encourages both new shooters and established shooters who want to improve on their basic skills to participate in his classes. Safety is his main concern. He is patient and easy to talk to and will do his best to teach you what you want to learn in a safe environment.

Avoidance is your best defense

Being aware of your surroundings is the start to personal safety. Observing both your surroundings and the people around you is important. Most bad situations can be avoided by identifying the issue and moving away from it quickly. This is the start to Situational Awareness.
Our classes stress situational awareness in our everyday life. An increase in your awareness will increase your chances of avoiding a bad situation. Training will help prepare you to react appropriately to that situation.
